Recently a lot more tournament organisers have contacted ourselves asking for us to host tournaments for them and all the details.
So lets get into it all, heres the rules and heres what we need etc..
How do I book a tournament at LGC?
Step 1. Contact Colin (through written form as i cant remember details for everything). Contact him through facebook, forums or e-mail. email@example.com.
Step 2. In the email we need the following details
- Date or dates that would suit
- How many players are likely
- How big tables you need
- If you have your own terrain or require some of LGC terrain
- Times (need it all from when you will enter building, to start to end and when you will all leave)
- Will you require a friday opening beforehand to set up?
- Then you can wait for reply
Step 3. Go to our forums (sign up if you havent already). In the following forum you must post a new topic, needs ot be the date of your tournament, name of it, who contact is and confirm you have sent off the details.
Step 4. If you are told to wait a little bit of time as we check or need to confirm etc and you havent heard anything for a week contact colin once again and make sure he hasnt forgotten and stay on top of it if you want it.
Step 5. When and if confirmed keep in contact with colin regular updates as to numbers etc until the day.
Please note if we cannot contact you or you fail to reply for a long time or we are unsure as to any details your failing to provide we will not bother helping you out. Not to sound mean but if you cant be bothered making sure all is organised we are not going to bother helping you out.
LGC will not advertise this event for you, you will have to advertise it yourself.
-If you are able to run a small tournament between our regular club times (9-6) with only a few tables and have your own terrain, we will only ask that each person simply follows are admission fees, and thats all we ask for. (usually £3.50 each)
-If your tournament is longer than one day or will not allow us to open properly for a normal club day for our members we will ask you to pay our rent for the entire length of your requested times. (price depends on what you ask for).
Thats it, committee on the day will help you out, in the sense of asking if you need help bringing stuff in. Committee will set up your tables for you for your arrival.
There is a tuck shop ran by committee (drinks, chocolates and crisps) everything is 50p.
There is a shop next door to us, they have sandwiches etc and a cash machine (that charges).
How to direct people to us show them this link
We would also appreciate if you make a facebook group to link us on it as your location or somewhere and if you take pictures it would be nice for LGc to be linked in the set or something, or even send them to us.
