Anyone any good links to 28mm heads that would suit female assassins? Helmeted or not?

  GK "in your face" list
Posted by: shadow - 09-05-2011, 12:01 AM - Forum: Warhammer 40k - Replies (11)

Hi all,

This is an attempt to get the army in your face as fast as possible and tried to put dreadknights in for Bill:

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY A CONCEPT!!

HQ: 370

Grand Master - 185
- 2x Servo-skulls

Grand Master - 185
- 2x Servo-skulls

Troops: 810

Strike Squad (5 man)- 135
-1x Psycannon, 1x Daemon Hammer, 3x Halberd

Terminator Squad (5 man)- 225
1x Daemon Hammer, 1x Psycannon, 4x Halberd

Terminator Squad (5 man)- 225
1x Daemon Hammer, 1x Psycannon, 4x Halberd

Terminator Squad (5 man)- 225
1x Daemon Hammer, 1x Psycannon, 4x Halberd

Fast Attack: 440

Storm Raven - 220
- Teleport Homer, Twin Linked Multi-melta

Storm Raven - 220
- Teleport Homer, Twin Linked Multi-melta

Heavy: 380

Nemesis DreadKnight - 190
- Gatling Psylencer, Great Sword

Nemesis DreadKnight - 190
- Gatling Psylencer, Great Sword

Total: 2000

So the idea is to give the Storm Ravens Scout with the Grand Strategy rule ( thats why there's 2 Grand Masters, just to be sure it happens, if not make the dreadknights scoring is an option).
The Grand Masters ride in the Raven and turbo boost up to 24" befor the game starts for that 3+ cover save.
The only models on the board are the Storm Raven, the Servo-skulls and the Strike Squad if needed to hold home objective.
Then on turn 2 they both cast Psychic Communion for a 2+ reserve roll.
Which means that the rest of the army should arrive either around the Storm Ravens and not scatter or around the Servo-skulls and scatter 1D6 less.

In summary, that's 3 Terminator squads+2 Dreadknights pretty close to the opponents lines (24"+6"= 30" covered in turn 1)

23rd&24th Sept Apoco Battle! Sign up!
Posted by: wolfie - 09-04-2011, 06:21 PM - Forum: Warhammer 40k - Replies (35)

Ok, there will be an apocoalypse battle on the friday and saturday weekend of this month. At the moment, we are looking to get people to sign up, confirm they are free. And sign up to join a team.

We need to know what army you will be using and how many points you have for that army.

There will be a few other rules but at the moment its just to get people to sign up.

Teams will be seperately (at the moment) like so;
Good Team - Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, Eldar, Tau & Grey Knights
Evil Team - Chaos Daemons, Chaos Space Marines, Dark Eldar, Necrons, Orks & Tyranids

To sign up please just reply to this post, telling us what army you are bringning and how many points in total could you actually bring to the table.

  Grey Knights @ 1750
Posted by: shadow - 08-28-2011, 04:13 PM - Forum: Warhammer 40k - Replies (45)

Hi all,

After seeing how they got on this weekend, I thought I'd put up my list for criticism:

HQ: 150

Castellan Crowe - 150

Troop: 804

8x Purifier - 268
- Rhino, 3x Halberd, 2x psycannon, 1x Daemon Hammer, Dozer Blade

8x Purifier - 268
- Rhino, 3x Halberd, 2x psycannon, 1x Daemon Hammer, Dozer Blade

8x Purifier - 268
- Rhino, 3x Halberd, 2x psycannon, 1x Daemon Hammer, Dozer Blade

Elite: 390

1x Warband - 195
6x Death Cult Assassins, 4x Crusaders, Rhino, Dozer Blade

1x Warband - 195
6x Death Cult Assassins, 4x Crusaders, Rhino, Dozer Blade

Heavy: 405

Dreadnought - 135
-2 TLAC, Psy Ammo

Dreadnought - 135
-2 TLAC, Psy Ammo

Dreadnought - 135
-2 TLAC, Psy Ammo

Total = 1749

The idea is to bunker up 3 Rhinos, 2 with the DCA and 1 with purifiers in them, in front of the Dreads. Using the DCA to counter assault if need be.
Use the other 2 units + Crowe ,if he doesn't get shot to bits (Who cares really?!?), as the aggressive part of the list to go get an objective if need be.

  Bits/parts websites

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone had any good sites that "specialized" in just selling "bitz" from boxes.

I just need a few bits from lizardmen and dark elves, but i don't want to spend £40 on 8x bits that i will only use.

Thanks guys

Naas Wargames Fraternity -versus- the Warheads

So I invited the Naas Wargames Fraternity from Kildare to come into the Warheads Gaming Night in Dublin last Thursday, the write up can be found here, I thought Duce might like the turn counter used for my game:
