  Sorry Lads Post Filled

So guys I know you all sent in your letters in an effort to become the new GW CEO however I am afraid I have to inform you that you have been unsuccessful in your application and the post has now been filled.

Quote:The Board of Games Workshop is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Rountree as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2015.

Tom Kirby, Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer, will take up the position of Non-Executive Chairman with effect from that date.

Kevin, 45, joined Games Workshop in 1998. He is currently Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

Commenting on the appointment, Tom Kirby said: “The Board undertook a thorough process in selecting our new CEO, receiving a significant number of applications for the position, both internal and external. Kevin was the outstanding candidate.

The board congratulates Kevin on his appointment and wishes him every success in his new role.”

Thankfully the evil Tom Kirby has now taken a role of non-executive chairman so won't have any control over the day to day operations of GW. Well except for the fact that he is responsible for deciding how well the new CEO has done at the end of each year........

I've managed to get a hold of the winning letter

Quote:Dear Mr Kirby

I admire you greatly and wish to follow amazingly wonderful footsteps. As such if chosen I would like to introduce the followings steps in order to build on your utterly fantastic work.

- I propose that when slash prices by 2% in order to bring back our estranged customers. Now I know what your thinking has this man lost his mind obviously we need to cut corners to do this, as such I propose we reduce the amount of plastic contained in each box by 50% e.g. why give ten marines in a box when we can give 5!

- I propose we take our one man shops to the next level and make them half man shops. That's right we hire midgets, everyone loves midgets! We can even dress them up as Squats and do shows every year where we set rabid dogs dressed as tyranids on them. This will of course cost money so we will have to put the price of products up by 12%.

- I propose we combine our product lines we spend far too much money writing three sets of rules when we can just write one we shall call it Warhobbit 40k. The only obstacle to this is ofc the reprinting of boxes and the cost involved so we will need to increase prices by 5% to cover this.

- I Propose we change Gamesday to be 52 times a year this of course will take a lot of organising so we will have to make some cut backs such as removing the stalls, events and guests then replacing them with more stock to sell. Also we couldn't call it Gamesday any more as that would be silly, I propose we call it Saturday! Holding this 52 times per year will ofc cost more so we'll need to raise prices by 5%

- I propose we eliminate the greastest scourge to our intellectual property, no i don't mean chapter house i mean those damn gaming clubs. Every year they get fat on the profits from our hard work that we pinched from the guys who wrote the game in the 80s. They go around buying things from forgery world and showing people there's actually a game, we are not a games company dammit. We need to make an example of one I hear there's one in Northern Ireland called LGC which would do nicely. Of course we need to cover the solicitors fees for this so we need to increase our prices by 5%.

I hope you can see my vision and look forward to your response oh great and glorious one. Hail Kirby!

Your faithful minion

Kevin Rountree

P.S. I Love You <3

So as you can see gw is in good hands

GW are giving away free rules i'm fairly sure this means we are all doomed so say goodbye to your loved ones while you still can.

Has anyone ever tried this? 400 point army on a 2 x 4 board, quick skirmish type games, no reserves, no named characters, less than 3 wound models and no 2+ saves

My main army is C: SM, more specifically Carcharodons. Are ForgeWorld lists generally accepted at the club? (In this instance I'm not referring to FW units but rather the Carcharodons chapter tactics and named character)

It's mostly regarding options and points no clue on rules etc

Well finally getting a chance to look over some of the rumors regarding the new Space Wolf Codex, and here is my thoughts / hopes.

Quote:Lords of War: Logan & Bjorn
New big kit for SWs is a "Legendary Fenrisian Monster and handler(s)"
All other SW releases will be plastic reworks of existing Finecast, or very old plastics.

I really hope they make something great from Bjorn. I mean this guy is one of the real bad asses in the 40k fluff. Walked with Russ himself, surely that makes him worth being a beast! Currently hes more like an extra objective marker, Although I did use him a little in 6th He was well over priced for what he could do. Would like to see him become more!

Logan as a Lord of War? hm maybe all Chapter masters will get this treatment. He was one of the most widely used wolf HQs I believe, rarely used by me I must admit but will be interesting to see what it will mean for him and Loganwing armies!

A Legendary Fenrisian Monster? Really? holy (censored) I don't know how I feel about this... Could it be a Big Black maned thunder wolf? A Kraken? I have a great feeling I will not like this, I've never read anything about them using such beasts, only known are actual wolves themselves and we have those already. I kinda hope this is BS!

Quote:- Space Wolves move into the "modern age" with access many of the new Astartes kits and toys:
- The Hunter / Stalker is in
- The Stormraven is in
- The Stormtalon is out...
- Canis goes the way of the Dodo...

Some much needed anti air firepower is needed and I like both the Hunter and Stalker models, although never seen in the flesh! Would be happy to see them in the book, it makes sense that they are!

The Stormraven again makes sense as its like a generic marine transport. Why wouldn't they have it? So hope this is true! I could finally make my Bjorn and his personal Transport!

No Stormtalon, hm I'm ok with this if there is another kinda flyer in there. A Wolf only flyer "Stormfang" or the likes of that. Similar to the talon or the Dark Angel flyers!

Bye bye Canis? Well I've never used him. Strange as hes a relativity new model. maybe that will be come another option for a lord on thunderwolf. Not too bothered either way on this one!

What I really want is for the Space Wolves to keep some sort of their character. As in keep their sagas, and some of that gear that makes them different to normal marines. I'd really like to see a return to the close combat specialists that they were in 2nd but doubt that will happen!
Their own psychic powers would be cool as the Rune Priests are more like shaman, I believe they don't really view themselves the same as other chapters Librarians. Again doubt GW will worry much about that!
