Starting to wish I never played with my bikes today. I've spent the last hour writing space marine bike lists and I need about 15 bikes, 5 grav guns and a bunch of meltas.

So almost 2 years ago to the day I was bored and looking for a review of a black library audio book I was thinking about buying. So I googled the title and looked for a review and hey presto I stumbled upon someone called Colin Shields from Lisburn gaming club giving his opinion of it. If only I knew then what I know now....

A quick visit later and it was off to the games workshop to start my new army!

2 years and a lot of painting later my army just keeps getting bigger and bigger and for some strange reason so does the amount i have to still paint! (damn you ebay!)

As most games are 1850 bar the odd Apoc game which means most people only get to field a portion of their army at a time I was wonder .. Just how big is yours? (I am only including painted models otherwise I would need another table.. or 2)

So anyone else care to show us what you got?

I was playing Mr Stowe at the Lisburn Tournament the other week and i had an idea to keep my crisis suits safe from his soul grinders by hiding under his sky shield. This did not work as the wobbly model rule was used. But I was wondering if this applies to models that keep sliding off uneven terrain as opposed to models that don't physically fit (like lying down a nid monstrous creature on its side in the 6 nations ) .I have found a similar reference in the rule book faq although its referring to models going under other models:

Page 49 – Flying Monstrous Creatures, Swooping.
Add the following bullet point:
‘• Models that physically fit under a Swooping Flying
Monstrous Creature can move beneath it. Likewise, a Swooping
Flying Monstrous Creature can end its move over such models.
However, when moving this way, enemy models must still
remain 1" away from the base of the Swooping Flying
Monstrous Creature, and the Swooping Flying Monstrous
Creature cannot end its move with its base within 1" of other
enemy models.’

The key words being models that physically fit under

I've been thinking about this for a while - I think we need to play bigger games.

Hear me out. At the minute we play 1850 point games, which is fine and dandy, but this is the standard for tournament games. Not everyone is a tournament player.

We all buy lots of stuff for the game, and I'm sure we'd love to play with all of our toys, so I'm advocating we start playing games at 2500 points.

Think about it - it opens up all sorts of possibilities. At that scale, you get 2 force organisation charts, meaning you can field a lot of the stuff you like. Games would be longer, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. For fluff players out there, it means you can field the army you want, enough of shoehorning units into 1850 point games. If you lose a Land Raider at 1850 points, it's a catastrophe; at 2500, it's an inconvenience.
