JayeL's Lamenters
#1
I decided I wanted to paint up a new army after just painting random figures on and off for the last load of years. So with that in mind I present the first few units of my Lamenters Chapter Marines.

4th Company Captain Arkas:

Fully magnetised for customisability.
Here a few Squads:

Honour Guard for my Captain:

Finally, A Razorback for my Captain and Honour Guard:

Thanks,

The sword was a 50:50 Enchanted Blue: Shadow Grey mix

Then a few thin layers of Ultramarines Blue alternating the position on opposite sides of the sword, like this:

Next a 50:50 mix of UM Blue and Midnight Blue. A 25:75 UM Blue/ Midnight Blue. Finally Midnight Blue on it's own, until you end up with a sword that looks like this:

Now for the highlights;

Start with a 50:50 mix of Enchanted Blue and Ice Blue and use it. in layers, on the bits that are still base coated.
Next Ice Blue on it's own, followed by a 50:50 Ice Blue and Skull White, finally skull white on it's own.
Highlight the Centre part of the blade and the edges with skull white so you end up with this:

To finish off the bits that are Midnight Blue add a few reflective lines of light using Skull white so you end up with this:

And the job is done.

Thanks,

The writing on the tank was a cheat, I bought decal paper from here:

http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/category/Decals

I have a load of slogans done out which should be enough to fit on all the vehicles I have planned for the army.

And then it is just a matter of printing them, cutting them out and using them as you would do with normal waterslide decals.

Damn nice touch! Reckon I'll be stealing that idea - get ready for tanks that have swear words on em!
